Buying a new laptop

I recently purchased a new laptop after day of research. I went for HP Compaq Presario M2225AP notebook PC. The SPECS that I went for

1.60 Ghz Intel Pentium (M) processor, 256MB ram, 40 GB HDD, DVD-CDR, Bluetooth, 6 in 1 mem card reader. The BrightView TFT 15 inch screen produces a very clear and bright display.

The notebook in the past 2 months has been upto my expectation. Although I would recommend adding more RAM and HDD if you are planning to put lots of data and planning to run many applications at a go. My basic needs of surfing, checking emails, scripting, updating my websites etc are met perfectly well with this notebook PC.

HP has a good network of support centers in and around Mumbai so that should not be an issue. The notebook came with 1 year carry in National warranty.

Overall I am pretty satisfied with the notebook's performance.

Pros: Moderate weight, suited for internet, email and applications, good network of HP care centers.
Cons: Memory upgrade (at least 512MB), Not suited for gaming applications etc.

Overall rating : 9/10 :-)
